There will most likely be an AR5 but it is not yet in production. My thoughts on the younger TVB artistes: My favourites are Myolie Wu and Tavia Yeung out of the girls and probably Sammul and Raymond out of the guys, but I haven't really watched enough of Ron, Bosco and Chris to comment. As for Kenneth, I like his temperament and I guess he is happy to tag along for the ride as he knows he will never steal the show like some of the others.

Hi Em,
Thank you for your wonderful translation.
Do the TVB series dvd/vcd that are released in UK have English subtitle?
Thanks.

Hi chiyoaiki - thanks for ur comments! The videos in the UK don't have English subtitles. I think it is just the DVD's that have them on, but we don't get them over here.

Hi! I was wondering if you happen to know where I can buy VCDs of TVB serials here in the UK (seeing that you're here as well you should know best right? )? I noticed that the discussion forum has threads indicating such sales, but I'm a little wary cos' after all you'd be sending a lump sum of money to well, a perfect stranger, and there really is no guarantee that he'd honour the transaction and very little we can do if he does not! Have you ever bought VCDs from any of them and please introduce me to one who is reliable and has reasonable prices? I have been looking for sellers for ages on the Net but it's really difficult to locate! Thanks so much!!

Hi Buster.... If you are talking about the pirated VCD's of the latest TVB series, then I wouldn't recommend any of them because firstly it is highly illegal and secondly you have absolutely no comeback on it if they disappear with your money. Moreover, most of these sellers are based in the US, so you really don't have any chance of chasing them if they don't send you anything. If you are looking for the best place to buy official TVB series (the older ones), then the best place I would recommend is YesAsia (click the link on the news pages) because they send from the UK and are reliable and official. Also, as they deal in US dollars, the great exchange rate with the pound at the moment means you'd get them a lot cheaper than from the TVB outlets. Hope that helps!

Hi again!
Thanks for your help, but I have checked out yesasia previously, but I am looking for current TVB releases and not the older series, like TITS and even the not so recent seed of hope, which is not out yet on yesasia! Are there really no other alternatives apart from renting? Thanks!

Oh I almost forgot!! I've been meaning to ask you as well if you happen know why Sammi and Andy Hui broke up? And who was the one who initiated it? I read from a report (the only one I could find on it!) that Andy was the one who called it off... but I'm not sure if that is just a rumour... Do you think Louis Koo had a part to play? Sorry I had to ask you about it here... The HK entertainment news isn't as updated as the TVB one, and I didn't know where else I could turn to! Even HK entre in review (can't remember what it's called exactly!) didn't have anything on it! Thanks and I really admire you for the time and effort you put in for this site...I'm a loyal supporter! I check in at least once a day! Thanks for everything!

hi again buster - Unfortunately, you have to remember that TVBI is a business that has to make money and at the end of the day, the video rental business is fairly lucrative compared to the satellite and VCD ends, so it is bound to get the first bite of the cherry. So if you want to stay above board, then you either have to pay or wait. As for Sammi and Andy, who knows... The strongest rumour was that Sammi ended her relationship with Andy because she grew a little too big for her boots and had a crush on Louis Koo, but then there are other stories about Andy finding her unbearable. Then again, there are so many rumours about the couple that even lepra, my partner-in-crime over on HKENR can't be bothered posting them all! Personally, I think the seven year itch had something to do with it!

Hi Em,
I've been watching VoH (2) and recently there was a nice English song played in the background during a touching scene between characters "Chris" and "Joey"; either as their "romance" was starting or right at the tense moment (around episodes 180-something) I was curious about what was the name of the song? My sister said it was used before in other HK TVB series...Thanks for any help you can offer.
